About Jeric

Jeric Peña is a nineteen-year-old blogger and a third year college student at the University of the Philippines Diliman. Aside from being a blogger and a student, he also hosts the weekly podcast EDUC Today and manages the Brink Notes Podcast Network.

He studied nursery at In Jesus’ Care Learning Center from the years 1994-1996. It was in 1996 when he entered Notre Dame of Greater Manila in Caloocan City, Philippines where he studied Kinder One to Fourth Year High School. He graduated from high school last March 2008 with a loyalty award and an Excellence in ICT medal. He also received his Associate’s degree from the University of the Philippines Open University last May 2010 and is now taking up Bachelor of Secondary Education at UP Diliman.

Jeric has been blogging since 2003. In 2005, he started producing audio podcast shows. His first audio podcast show was Jeric’s Confessions (2005) followed by Brink Notes Podcast (2007), Pinoy Idol Podcast (2008) and Brink Notes Entertainment Daily Podcast (2009). His podcast, Brink Notes Entertainment Daily Podcast was awarded as the Best Podcast during the 2009 Philippine Blog Awards. In 2007, he tried video blogging at Jeric on the Tube. Currently, he maintains a couple of blogs such as Distance Education in the Philippines, Just Jeric, and So Sick of Taxi to name a few.
